Advice: Same as everyone else "research" and try to make an environment that you would like to live in if you were a fish.
Fish Kept: Bosemani Rainbows, Harlequin Rasboras, Clown Loaches, Angel fish, Rainbow Shark
Plants Kept: All fake plants and decor at the moment accept the drift wood.

About Yourself: Had a small 10 Gal tank when I was 9. Now just got back into it as a Hobby 8 months ago. This tank is 3 months worth of thinking and planing.

About Yourself: A friend of mine "Abe", gave me my first 30 gallon set-up about 12 years ago. Wanted to keep fish ever since. I've moved all over the Country, so had to give up many nice freshwater fish. This is my new one.
Advice: Frequent water changes. When changing water from tap, wait 5 min. before adding to tank. Let it sit in a bucket for this brief time. This will make the water as clear from the tap as possible.

Plants Kept: Plants: All fake hanging and grounded. Rock: Lava rock, Granite. Wood: African drift (two types). Ground Rock: Amazon type river gravel.

Advice: I don't believe that you have to get a specific species tank. I have so many species from zebras, peacocks, trophues, clavus, etc.

Advice: I hate saying it, but use chemicals, it really does help =P

About Yourself: I have been keeping fish for more then 20 years - never tried salt water. I love to spend time watching the habits of my fish - it is very fun to watch them inter-act with each other. Never give up on your fish - they seem to have 9 lives.
Advice: Change water at least 2 times a month, purchase a LARGE filter if you plan on having alot of fish. Compare fish types BEFORE purchasing SOME fish do not get along
Fish Kept: all kinds mix fish, africans, cory cats, mollies,clown fish and many others
Plants Kept: mostly plastic - many are hand made by myself. I have a few live plants - vals only.
