Advice: 1) Be patient 2) Frequent water changes 3) Routine maintainence 4) Try not to submerse hands/arms into tank if avoidable 5) Frequent testing of water parameters 6) Start with easy-care corals/fish and ALWAYS check to make sure fish are compatible 7) NEVER buy a coral and/or fish without researching their needs first

About Yourself: I started this tank when I was 18 and I really got into the hobby. Doing most things DIY because I am young and I do not have a lot of money. Sand is second hand and I have no reflectors. The Halide is from eBay and it is ghetto. It is a DIY masterpiece. I will continue on my love for this hobby forever.
Advice: Reefs.org is a good site for leaning. Advanceaquarist.com is a great science side of reefs. Reading is most important. Stick with the hobby and you will be rewarded with great success. Water changes are great. Do them often. Bi-Weekly is great!
Fish Kept: Yellow Tang, Sailfin Tang, 2 clowmns, PJ Cardnal fish, blue devil, and other reef native fishes.
Corals/Plants Kept: I love millipora and montiporas, hammers, and touch corals, mushrooms, GSP.
Tank Size: 55
Description: About 2.5 years old. 440 watts VHO, 175 MH @ 14K, 10 gallon WalMart tank as sump, Euro-Reef skimmer stuffed in the sump, MAG 5 return. 75 pounds of LR, 4 inches of coral sand, SPS, LPS, and some softies and native reef fishes.

Advice: Keep the system very stable, that's all you need to do, stability, they hate changes, and they die to demonstrate their point.
Fish Kept: Let go, sometimes fish dying is just inevitatble.
Corals/Plants Kept: coral keeping is not a hobby, it's basically a contraversal, irresponsible, tiring, disturbance, live killing, money sucking black hole. It's a terribly sorry thing that one can ever have. My advise don't start it.
Tank Size: 140
Description: A tank with a lots of sand, coraline algae, fishs, snails, babelones, green lone hair algae, red algae, an african leather coral, some mushrooms, some recordeas and a bunch of hard coral.
