About Yourself: I am a graduate student, applying to medical school now. I have been interested in saltwater fish for over 6 years now, learning as I go. My cousin who lives in florida originally got me interested telling me it wasn't as hard as everyone thinks.
Advice: Don't be afraid to try new things and do things right from the beginning despite the costs because it will be well worth it in the long run.
Fish Kept: Purple pseudochromis, yellow pygmy angel, pink banded shrimp goby, maroon clown, chalk basslet.
Corals/Plants Kept: halimeda, maiden's hair, kenya tree, florida false, candy cane, long tentacle anemone, green star polyps, yellow polyps, pulsating xenia, green hairy mushroom, colt coral, anthelia, red mushrooms, lettuce leather coral
Tank Size: 29
Description: I have an oceanic biocube 29 with two 36 watt power compacts. One is a 10000 K and the other is an acitinic. The tank dimensions are 20.8" x 19" x 20.1". I have been running the tank for over a year and a half and all of the live rock came from my four year old 120 reef tank. I have accumulated corals like the florida false coral, the kenya trees, and all other shown for about a year. I use marine snow, B-ionic two part system, Coral accel (recently), and garlic which seems to boost the immune system. I have a yellow pygmy angel, a pink striped shrimp goby, a maroon clown, a chalk basslet, fire shrimp, three monkey shrimp, a cleaner shrimp, purple pseudochromis and a purple reef lobster. (Also assorted cleaning crew like snails, lettuce nudibranch, crabs, ect). I didn't really change the set up from the company other than add carbon and a cut out all inclusive filter.
