| About Yourself: |
I went to Maui scuba diving in the reef... I was hooked! I always had tanks as a kid so it was only natural to end up with a giant reef of my own...I love it! I have had it going for four years now, so I say its not going anyware!! Its a lot of upkeep, but so am I, so no problems for me here!! lol... I enjoy it more than watching tv!! theres always drama happening in that little world they live in too...its like the discovery channel live. |
| Advice: |
If it looks good...DONT touch it.
do regular water changes!
always use ro/di |

Javier who has created this site has it rigged so you can't even vote on our pictures (Ryan - The Shepherds Reef Killer who built our tank has a tank posted which is NOT even his - we are done playing your third grade games) We are going to solicite the advertisers and make our own web site and do what we want on it so don't worry we'll be back ad # 1 again just like we were meant to be!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
Every kind of fish you can think of that everyone says you can't keep together, we have in the tank --- Updated 7-24-08 - WE PURCHASED EVERYTHING IN OUR TANK FROM JEFF'S EXOTIC FISH IN COSTA MESA (714) 540-0880 THEY ARE VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND CAN GET YOU STARTED EVEN IF YOU JUST WANT A LITTLE NANO TANK. THANKS GUYS!!!! |

| About Yourself: |
A very costly hobby, but one we can always do together |
| Advice: |
My husband had a reef tank years ago. We just started up a new one again a several months ago and absolutely love it. It is a great hobby you can do together. Flow ! Flow ! Flow and lots of live cured Rock!!! Salinity and temperature, because one wrong element can ruin your tank. We feed alot so all of our starfish live for several months, also not everyone can keep a flame angel, coral beauty, purple and yellow tang together in the same tank so luck was on our side (IF YOU DO NOT LIKE OUR PICTURES THEN YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LOOK AT THEM, BUT VOTING 0 IS VERY NEGATIVE ON YOUR PART) PLEASE JUST MOVE ON - THANKS!!!! |

| Advice: |
Setting up a marine reef aquarium setup requires lots and lots of knowledge . One must be prepared to spend a great deal of time and effort studying water chemistry and fish & invertebrate biology. A reef tank takes a long time to mature so you need to build the eco-system in the tank which is sustainable, ensuring that the system is able to support itself before introducing more livestock or more sensitive species. So never overstock and always be patient.

it's hard to take pics with no glare, even harder to take them when all the fish are out! (and even still only 1/2 the fish are pictured.) the tan k is 4ft front to back; it's real hard to capture that perspective from a dead-on front angle |

| Advice: |
if anything, read the advice of the top 10 rated tanks!!! and read as much material as you can - internet, books, word of mouth. and there's no such thing as overkill when it comes to maintaining your water quality! |
