Your tank needs some work in order to bring out the full potential of the fish. Betas are wonderful but most of the times kept under poor conditions. Get yourself informed on the natural habitat of this species and try to reproduce them in your tank. Get a natural-looking substrate, plants made of fabric and a nice wallpaper for the back panel. Lighting can make a huge difference also. And i think that Spongebob doesn't fit neither with fishkeeping nor with the unique character of Beta fish. fish avatar
