More Info

State: Colorado
Country: United States
Description: Mostly community, with a couple of huge fresh water shrimp, and a smattering of plants. Just got a new light enclosure and Gro-Lux bulb, the plants are enjoying as there is obvious new growth after only two weeks.
Advice: Know water chemistry and give your fish a balanced diet.
Fish Kept: A cluster of Neon's, two families of guppies, Dwarf Gourami and a couple of ghost shrimp. 11/06/08 Well scratch one Gourami, healthy one day, dead the next. Darn it. 12/30/08 Doubled my Neons to 12, more plants and new light.
Corals/Plants: All live plants, more on that later, building up the variety, but i need to learn more about live plants.
Tank Size: 44 gallons
Quote: Think cosmic !!
About Yourself: Map & image analyst, DWM, with a astronomy fixation.

COMMENTS

Made a major water change adjusted the air supply and cleaned the glass inside & out. The guppies are proliferating well. The Neon's seem quite happy and keep in a nice bunch. The glass shrimp are getting scary big, I'm keeping butter on hand. I'm thinking of getting another light, this time more of a grow-lux tube, maybe it will help my photos, because it's really hard to get a good shot that does justice to the community, I know, what you're saying ...no it's not, but! More later, it'll get better. fish avatar
