COMMENTS

Hi Plattietudes :) I absolutely agree with you on the CAE - contrary to the negative opinion this algae eater has, mine has never been aggressive towards any of my fish. I love him. And he is SUCH A GREAT algae eater - keeps my tank perfectly clean. Had him for over 3 years now :). Thank you for the comments on my pictures :). fish avatar
Hi there! Thanks for the nice comment about my tank. Yours is fantastic! I love your camera work, I am very impressed. I need to get myself a better camera and photo editing program *sigh*...anyhow, I love this picture, because this fella looks just like my own! Same size and expression. I have to say, these guys get a bad rap. I have a gold CAE in with my cichlids and he is a sweetheart. He even acted as "nanny" to the cichlids when they were fry, chasing away the parents until they were eventually removed. He has never been mean or aggressive, and he seems to help keep the tank clean. He's a real old timer now, and I'll be sad to lose him one day, but I hear they are long lived. I love your tank and your fish pictures. You are truly a master fishkeeper - congratulations! fish avatar
