Description: 55g aga aquarium..black trim and silicone...all live..i use eco complete substrate i use a stealth heater and run a marineland emperor400 fliter(pantyhose on intake to save shrimp)..my lighting is a t5 setup about 2.5 watts a gallon...i only add flourish iron to the tank and everything is BOLD and healthy..a done right planted tank should really take care of itself..i change about %20 water weekly and filter pads once a month...my shrimp cory cats and plecos are also fulltime janitors....umm ya. any questions ask away
Advice: Dont overkill with chemicals ...and be patient.. rushing into things just cost more money..AND PLEASSSSEEEEE RESEARCH THE FISH YOU WANT!!!!..other then that keeping a nice aquarium is rather simple..
Fish Kept: I have had everything from piranha to stingrays to discus ....and now after all my exotics...im back to my basics...neons and white clouds and loaded with dwarf shrimp :) ..and so far this is probably my fav. setup.
Corals/Plants: Various freshwater plants... i do love my planted tank but i do not really get into all the names and what not of my plants..
Tank Size: 55 gallons
About Yourself: Uhhhhh... hey..names john..25.. I have been keeping fish since i was about 15ish.. my parents always had tanks as i grew up..and i always helped maintain them and i guess the hobby spread to me..from little 5g tanks in my room to 150g in my own living room.. right now i only have 1 tank do to a recent move and am going to keep it simple for now :)
