How big is your tank?

you can search without making a poll. look at the gallery and search pics by tank size. i believe the most common are the 55gallon tanks

I have a 225 gallon african cichlid tank and recently upgraded my 120 to a 280 gallon for my 4 largemouth bass.Great thread.

I've noticed that the bigger you go in tank size the more they cost, exponentially. I wonder how I could get or make a 250 or 500 gallon for less than thousands of dollars? I'm tempted to make a tank of this size due to it being probably around 10,000 dollars. The cost of the extra thick glass is unavoidable, but has anyone here built a big one? It cant be that difficult with some good furniture clamps.

Started with a half moon 3 piece 10 gal. Then bought a 29 gal mirror back bowfront. Both got over stocked and over planted, so I bought a used 55 gal,( I think it was a reef tank at one time. Glass is 1/4 " thick) and combined both tanks into it. Worked out nice. Sold the 29 and keeping the 10 for QT.
