What are some choices for floating plants? I want something that will grow well and is easy to maintain.
Any personal experience on this?

Do you like the look of water sprite? It's a type of fern I believe, you can have it as a floating plant or tied down on driftwood etc. Looks really nice and is a bit "different" IMO. Not uncommon in aquariums but also not the most popular choice for a floating plant.

I would do pennywort if I were you. Looks nice, grows like a weed (well, it is one I guess!) but not so fast that you have to spend lots of time trimming it. Plus it's not picky about the lighting.
