Freshwater Tank Ratings
Does anyone else have an appreciation for a natural looking freshwater setup? It seems like only hacky freshwater tanks that are overrun with plastic plants and cheap shipwrecks rank high in voting. Some of these tanks that are ranking at the top seem almost childish. How often do you see red gravel and drunken skeletons in nature? I just dont get how people on the north end of 20 could look at your standard betta bowl wal mart setup and think 'wow, thats a 9!' Probably worse than that is the fake coral setup in a freshwater tank. Doesnt it stand to reason that if you want coral in your tank, that you would set up a saltwater tank? I see a lot of well put together tanks here, and there are obviously some serious hobbyists involved. But there are too many novice hobbyists and passersby for this site to be taken seriously.
