I have a large amout of spot alge growing on the front of my fish tank i tried scraping it of with my finger but that didnt work do i need to get some sort of scraper or something ?
please help

Cause: excess light & nutrients (probably from too much overfeeding) also you need to regularly water change per week
You must use a razor on glass, or a scrubby pad meant for acrylic tanks if you want to take this off.

That hard green algae is not a nuisance algae, so no need to worry about removing it completely. They sell glass scrubbers with a metal blade that will make short work of it on the glass. Just swipe it once a week when you do water changes and it's easily kept at bay.
