Feeding Freshwater Fish Vegetables?

What kind of vegetables do you feed to your fish? for cichlids? plecos?

How do you prepare them?

for the plecos: slices of zuchinni, use a little clip strip or something to have it sink to bottom.

Frozen peas work as well.
