Some planted tank experts claim you should do a 50% twice a week to replenish trace elements in a flourishing tank, I think its a little silly but it really seems to be working for you a1. lol
I just had a few fish deaths because of sudden retard disease where they decided to interact with pieces of my equipment in the worst possible ways..Never thought I'd have to go back through and fish-proof everything after 2 years running...
I've got this freaking horrible breakout of cyanobacteria and I've done 3 50%'s this past week and its still growing..what the crack. Its pretty but its annihilating my foreground plants...

yeah..i've been trying hard to keep it stable but its near impossible. I'd consider setting up another ''reactor'' but I think I'd be overwhelming things at that point. The baker's yeast isn't as stable as the nutrafin stuff, even though it was practically dead when I got it. It either dies out in under a week or I add too little and get a bubble every 5 secs for 2 weeks.
