well i have 4 veiltail and avery place that i go they tell me the rul is one gallon per inch and theyre about 3 and 4 inches

well it is different with goldfish because they are such a dirty fish which also means you need extra filtration and and more frequent water changes.

I have ten gallons for each of my three goldfish, and they still dirty up my tank and require double the filtration. When they're small it's not as bad, but once they start gaining some girth, it gets pretty nasty in the tank, even if it's well-established.

i do the ten gallons per each fancy goldfish... and filtration has to be 10x tank volume turnover per hour...
good fish that go great with goldies are channel cats, white cloud minnows, hifin sharks, and snails...
but don't get anymore fish untill you get rid of some carps...

oh and gold gish will mostlikley eat your plants they love to eat roots especially any type of carp or koi
