okay so I went to homedepot and they did not have silicone I either. I did however find Aquamend, which is for underwater use. But failed to state whether or not it was aquarium safe. What chemicals should I be aware of????

oh and can you tell me what size hose i need to buy to hook up to it? because im not that great of a handy man and not good at fittings.

5/8" i think... but with that slow rate, you could get like 1/2' clear tubing...
