lace rock

does anybody know were to get lace rock from cheaper than my lfs they wont like $20.00 for 1 rock thats crazy

my lfs gives it to me for a dolar a pound...

but the local rock pit also sells it for cents a pound, but they are heavier bigger chunks of lace rock... the bottom of the pallet usually has great looking rock... look around at landscaping or gravel pits around your neighborhood...

I believe it's also called Tufa rock.

I wanted to know if you lived near me. Which rock pit do you go to? I have been unable to find anything other than a couple yards, which all sell pre-cut tile type stuff = / I found a LFS that would sell lace rock for $1 a pound, but a pit that sells it cheaper would be worth a drive!

there's a rock pit here in downey california... they have lace rock... pallets of it...

Do you happen to know the name of the place? If possible, I'd like to drive over there this weekend and pick up what I need for my tank ^.^
