thanks... but i am waiting to move before i figure out just how large i can go on a tank. I decided to keep the existing 20 gallon tank, seeing as how i won't get much for it.

I didn't have time to read the whole thread, but I wanted to respond to you. One good way to see the going rate is to look at Craigs List. I've been perusing the site for some local bargains on larger tanks and it seems to be a good indication of what individuals are selling all kinds of setups for.

If you have a good classifieds paper around like we do, the Pennysaver, there are usualy at least one aquarium per week offered and their usually quite cheap.
Used aquariums are typically sold for a fraction of the cost of a new tank and many peop[le are almost willing to give their stuff away for free.
