I had an outbreak of brown algae in my 37 gallon tank so I got three of these guys and they cleaned it up, pronto. I know that I now need to supplement their diet since the algae appears to be clear, although I know that sometimes it's there but we can't see it. I'm concerned that I'm providing a healthy diet for them. Some articles say they must have live plants. True?
I put some zucchini in a couple of days ago and I saw them munching on it a little. I dropped an algae wafer near the zucchini but none of them paid any attention to it. I read a bunch of Oto profiles online, but nothing is very specific. Are my Oto's ok? I'd *hate* to be starving them or making them unhealthy. I'll get 'em whatever they need.
