Alasse's Tanks

by Alasse

The other threads getting a bit long, so new thread now.

So the tanks running currently

5ft - 1x Albino Oscar, 1x Lemon Oscar, 2x Clown Loaches.....eventually i will be adding some convicts, and 3 more clown loaches. I'm on the lookout for anothe canister filter also, so thet ank will eventually run 2 canisters.

4ft - Maingano and Apples snails.....i will be upgrading this tank to a 4x18x18, and it will, i'm hoping, have a fake rock design of some type in it.

3.5ft - Common SF BN pair and fry

3ft - Planted - 3x Angels, 1 Redtailed Black Shark, 4 Platys, 1 Common LF BN, 2 Albino SF BN.

2.5ft - Planted - 15 Neons, 2 Bronze Cories & Riffle Shrimp...This tank is on hold, no new stock as i think its had a TB break out in the neons. Unil i can catch and destroy them all, then i will restock.

2.5ft - Peppermint BN colony & fry

2ft - 400+ Apple snails

1ft - Planted - 3 Guppies, 1 Peppermint BN fry and 4 Apple snails

1ft - Woodscape - As yet unstocked

various unstocked nano tanks

I redid the Pep tank, added another cave as i suspect i might have 2 males and 2 females. 2nd suspected male very soon took up residence, there is also a female hanging around each cave. Suits me, lets hope they make lots of lovely babies. The white sand is so i can clearly see any deitrus and quickly remove it. I use a turkey baster and about 3 times a day clear out any poop, much easier and keeps the tank looking spick and span. Sadly i did lose some of the fry in the move, but still have around 20 healthy fry from their 1st batch.

Oppps ignore the second pond pic *L*

Update on the pond while i am at it. Java fern does not do well in here at all! I planted a sword into the substrate and it is growing really well, so i will be getting some more swords over time to add. Only 3 goldies in there now, i will be picking up a few more to add eventually.
Tomorrow i'll be adding some more sand/shellgrit substrate into the base to make it easier to plant things into.
