Protective Peacock.

by dream2reef

Parrot, our protective peacock now, surprised me when I put a hybrid peacock 3 times his size in was being picked on by our acei that was double the hybrids size. Making that 5 times the size of the peacock which also is our smallest fish in the tank. The acei was chasing the hybrid all over the tank showing pecking order. All of the sudden the lil peacock rammed the acei and was continual trying to ward off the acei from the newest addition hybrid. This went on for several minutes and wow what phenomenal fish I'm so glad I made the switch!

Sounds like you're really enjoying the Africans? lol, they're great fish to have. I bet that they love the 125Gal/72 inch tank!!!!! Your Acei won't be boss for long, I can guarantee the Auratas or the Socolofi will eventually become boss in that tank. Keep your eye on the Peacocks, usually the OB's do pretty good with mbunas but sometimes the other peacocks will get bullied to death so, just something to keep in mind. Enjoy you’re fish!
