Stealing food

by smuckersdesoto

The problem is when I drop algae wafers in the tank at night for my pleco, the other fish (mostly the 5 gold barbs and 2 blind cave fish) steal the food right out from the plecos mouth. my pleco chases them away, but they keep on. My pleco is 6" and the other fish are about 3-4". I have them in a 60 gal tank, so plenty of room. Any advice? Im frustrated for my pleco, and hope he is getting enough to eat!

Dont worry I you have algea in the tank hes fine but a trick I do for my little yo yo loach is I drop a Algea wafer at one end and the big yo yo eats ir and about 4 in away I drop a shrimp pellet for the small one. I would drop one algea wafer let the fish take it then another one in front of the pleco. Try and tell me how it went.
