This is my proposed fish list in my NEW 55 gallon tank. Any thoughts?
5-8 Iridescent Danios
5-8 Zebra Barbs
2-3 Blue Gourami's
2-3 Australian Rainbows
1-2 Red Lobsters
Then depending on those numbers, choose a couple of cats, maybe ottos to get at the algae.
If there are some people that have had some luck with the above or any recommendations about red lobsters, I would love to hear them.
I have a medium gravel tank with fake plants.

Crayfish will constantly chase and try to eat any fish that lives near the bottom or comes near the bottom.
Ottocinclus would be an easy meal for a crayfish (fresh water lobster)

Maybe you're thinking pleco? The pleco is a very tough fish, though it will still be constantly chased by a crayfish.
My thought is to get some ghost shrimp, which can get 3 inches long and not very dangerous for any fish, instead of crayfish.
I've had crayfish for years when I was a kid, and if you want them it's best to just not have any bottom dwelling fish IMO. Also, both the crayfish and the pleco will outgrow your ttank before long. Plecos are always being returned to aquarium stores. Crayfish can also escape up an air tube easily, so be careful.
