quick question???
Is it "normal" to have somewhat cloudy water after a water change, if not what am i doing wrong? The water clears on it's own after the filter is running for awhile...

I would expect that you are stirring things up a bit. Do you vaccum your substrate when you water change? If so, try and stir it up a bit with the vaccum. That will get a bit more of the waste out. My opinion only, not doctrine.
