You can make your own tank divider pretty easy. Get yourself some plastic canvas at a needle work store or big craft store. Get some report covers, the clear plastic kind with the slide on end. Cut the plastic to size and put the report sliders on all the sides. Then you can use rock or a clip to hold it in place. Its pretty cheap that way, but it also does not hold as well as a store bought divider. Also, cover the plastic canvas with netting, (from a fabric store) because the babies will be small enough to swim thru the smallest hole when they are first hatched.

Or you could just spend $10 and get a premade one that goes in a tank . I have seen them at Petsmart and Petco. That is what I use when my Bolivian Rams spawn. I learned the hard way that the fry can swim thru the itty-bitty holes in the divider, so now cover it with a fine mesh netting. Putting the netting side to the egg/fry side.

They come in 3 sizes. Here is a link to what I mean.

If you look at the picture you will also see what I mean with the plastic canvas and report sliders. Some people also use a piece of Plexiglas and drill tiny holes in it for water flow. That might be an idea with your size tank. I will see if I can find the links to these do-it-yourself things, OK?

Feed the fry baby brine shrimp once they are free swimming. You can hatch your own (you can buy a hatchery at the store) or you can use frozen BBS like I do. I just drop one of the frozen cubes into a cup of tank water and when it thaws out I use an eye dropper and squirt the BBS right down into the fry. After the fry get big enough you can then feed the finely crushed flake food.

Good luck! Be sure to take pics!

Here is a Do-It-Yourself for a plastic canvas divider:

The Plexiglas one:

Those are the only two I can think of. :--)
