Add some fake plants or something for a backdrop to elimiate all that open background where nothing is visible but you're intakes/equipment. You could even strategically place large clumps of fake amazon sword or something right around the areas where your intakes are visible so you'll still have plenty of space for those wonderful fish to swim around in.

I noticed there isn't much room behind the rocks in some areas but you could probably fit some in there one way or the other.

I agree, and plants (live or fake) to camouflage the filter intakes or you can paint the back with black paint or get a background gel/glued to the back. Also you may want to add some bogwood, you certainly have the room.

hope this helps

Yeah, I think some fake plants will give it a more "finished" look.

Aragonite sand. It will help you with pH. Mine is constant 8.0 without any additives.

Mine is about that pH whether I want it or not... we have aquifer water that's naturally filtered by the giant limestone plate this entire area is sitting on. It's pretty sweet for some things, but it certainly limits the fish I can keep unless I want to screw around with the water chemistry a whole lot.

Definitely plants... maybe even some floating plants or leaves on the top?

bogwood lowers Ph, dont put that in, but fake plants, chiclids dont work well with live, and in my opinion, a sand substarte would look good... doesnt look that bad right now
