by Mike0372983

wanting to buy a cansiter filter, there is a fluval model that is 10 gallons more than it should be, and there is a rena for a 29 gallon (PS my tank is 29 gallons) also what media would be best for a planted tank...

The more expensive one is the fluval, but it doesnt have the proper size for my tank, but the rena does... and it looks better in quality.

I'd get the Rena xp3 or xp4. They are great for the price.

I probably will go with the fluval, its meant for 25 gallon aquariums and it a bit cheaper, because I have to buy new lighting I might not be able to spend much more money...

I think you should have more filtration. You're at the lowest amount with no margin for error with the Fluval you mentioned.
