About Yourself: I'm 22 and married. I have a BFA in Online Interactive Design.

I've been keep fish for 12+ years (Since I was like 11 or 12yrs old). I wanted to be a marine biologist when I was a child. I have always been fascinated by fish, oceans and aquatic life in general.

I actually ended up being a web and graphic designer. I love keeping fish, it is my main passion after my passion and love for my wife and God.
Advice: Never give up, it's all worth it in the end. This is my first planted tank. And despite my extensive research and years of keeping fish, this tank was a virtual nightmare for like 1.5 months. This is 4 months after setup from late November in 2007. The photo is from 3/19/08
Fish Kept: Currently, listed above, other than that, hundreds too many to name. Chichlids, tetras, barbs, etc.
Plants Kept: Listed above. Other's that didn't do well were Pygmy chain sword (E. tenellus) and sagittaria subulata (dwarf sag). Sold an Echinidorus rose, got way to large and didn't accent the layout I was going for well. Few others I don't feel like listing

This picture was taken a while ago, there have been a few changes since. The fish include: 10 harlequin rasboras, 2 SAE's, 5 otocinclus, 6 corydoras, 4 german blue rams, a few killi fish, and 6 cardina japonica shrimp. I don't gravel vac too often. I will just push the tube into the plants as far as possible to get debris out. Every once in a while I will uproot plants to gravel vac and then replant, this also keeps things from getting too dense.

Quote: You don't know what you don't know.
About Yourself: I got to planted tank hobby two years ago. I started out with planted tank without pressurized CO2 and I had too much trouble to keep the plants alive. Algae out break was a nightmare. After I installed the CO2 system, thing has improved significantly. The CO2 system also keeps the algae problem under control.
Advice: Keep trying and pressurized CO2 makes all the different.
Fish Kept: 1 angel, 3 SAE, black neon, 1 Ghost catfish, 1 golden ram.
Plants Kept: variety
