| About Yourself: |
well... actually my dad started this while i was very young. so since my childhood iv been near a fish tank. now my dad doesnt have a freshwater fish tank he have a huge salt water tank. i started this hobby by getting a pair of gold fish in a bowl to my wife as a gift. so here im now. i am thinking of making a huge tank now :P |
| Advice: |
do refer to the guides and stuff on the internet. just simply putting the fish in a tank and looking at it is not all. u have to take proper care of the fishes and always keep a look for diseases. |

| Advice: |
be paitent. start slow. get the biggest tank you can. because you will always want to add fish and plants to it. keep up on overall maintenance(water changes, vaccuming, nutrients) research comatible tank buddys first. dont over crowd. |

I also have alot of Lillies and some unknown bushy plant.

If you can't ba a good example, be a horrible warning. |
| About Yourself: |
I started out in May '06 with Flipper my Fantail. I had gotten him to go in a bowl with a stalk of lucky bamboo. After doing a little reading on Goldfish I upgraded to an Eclipse 5 gallon hexagon. Then for Christmas I got a 20 gallon tank. This is a classic example of how fish are like drugs. Once you start, you have to keep getting bigger and bigger aquariums and more and more fish |
| Advice: |
Get the absolute biggest aquarium you can afford and accomadate. Let it run for three or MORE days before you even think of putting a fish in it. Buy yourself a good book and research the fish you want. (Since I started out with a Goldfish I am now VERY limited on what fish I can put with him.) THen add your fish slowly. I know how it is you just want to have a bunch a beautiful fish right away, but wait. It's better in the long run. |
| Fish Kept: |
Right now I have one Calico Fantail Goldfish, six Zebra Danios, one Lepard Danio. (He got mixed in with the others by accedent, but gets along fine with his cousins), and one Albino Cory Cat |

| About Yourself: |
Currently building a 100 gallon plywood tank and stand using self made wet / dry filtration unit. |
| Advice: |
An aquarium is not just a pretty decoration for your living room. It is a living, breathing environment and needs proper maintenance to continue thriving.
Take the time to do the research and learn how to set up and maintain. Make sure it is done properly, etc. You will be happier in the long run and so will your fish, etc. |

"What was this guy thinking? To own so many tanks is crazy. What kind of a person would want more than one small aquarium in their house?" --Nikolay, sarcastically commenting on a Craigslist ad selling a large number of aquariums |
| About Yourself: |
Computer geek, web developer, aspiring engineer, plus a roommate whom I've corrupted and turned into an obsessed fish person like myself. |
| Advice: |
Do your research, start with a tank of decent size so you have a margin of error on the chemistry. Get an oversized filter and use only mechanical and biological filter media (no carbon or ammonia removers). Use a plant substrate for the tank and plant heavily from the start. Use CO2 injection, whether homemade or compressed tank. make sure you have enough light, a single bulb is not enough. Research your fish choices to ensure they will get along, not outgrow your tank and don't require special water conditions. Establish and follow a consistent schedule of water changes and fertilizer dosing. Keep notes on what you do and how well it works. You will be rewarded. |
| Fish Kept: |
