| Advice: |
Do your homework and read as much as you can about the new hobby your about to start. Go to small local fish retailers for any advice... try to stay away from big chain retailers ( petsmart, petco )
the people working there dont know much about what they are talking about. In a smaller family owned fish store the employees are very smart about what they sell, the younger employees are usually going to school for marine biology. |

A 29 gallon I just started. It has a couple of Zebra, long finned blue and gold Dannios in it now.
Also I have a 10 gallon with a red tailed Albino Shark, a baby Angelfish, a Pepperd Cory Cat, 3 Plattys, 3 Gold Barbs, and 3 Rummynoose Tetras...
I'm going to transfer everything over to my 29 gallon when its ready! |

I have a wide variety of live plants and a large piece of driftwood with plant growth on it.( it looks like a tunnel) I also have a smaller piece of drift wood I tied a live plant to that will eventually take root on the wood. |

I have had tropical tanks for around 6 years now. I have always been able to breed my mollies succesfully. I love all the different variation of mollies except the balloon mollies I hate the deform of such a beautiful fish. I am now trying to breed my bristlenose plecs hence the amount of bogwood. |
| Advice: |
Be careful when cleaning the tank and water changes you can make the tank too clean and kill all your fish. You need to keep in bacteria for the plants and fish to thrive. |

Mollies (dalamation, black, white, speckled etc),
Guppies, tertas (neon, black widows etc),
Platys (micky mouse etc),
Swordtails,
Bristlenose plecs
catfishes(albinoes etc) and loads more over the years. I have been very successful with breading my tropical fish I have baby mollies, guppies, swordtails and platies in my breading net at the moment. |

this is my refugium. All saltwater, with mangroves and algae. Its not pretty.....but its VERY functional. The filter sock on the right gets the big stuff out of the water.......and the pipe on the left is controlled by a valve to let water in the refuge slowly. The skimmer is in the refuge....but surprisingly it works very well. |

Im only 20 years old but I live in Florida an love the florida keys. I like scuba diving and really feel that the reefs should be preserved. I figured it was time to get my own piece of reef in my home so I could enjoy the beauty every day and show people why it needs to be protected. My tank is 29 gallons and right at a year old. I have tried to keep my whole setup as natural as possible with filtration and water parameters. I have three fish (two clowns and a six line wrasse) and a number of corals. I have a AquaC Remora Pro, 20 gallon sump with 60lbs of sand, a filter sock to get out debris, a CPR overflow with two outlets to safeguard my tank, and my return pump is a mag drive 9.5 hooked to a scwd to give me switching currents. I have put a lot of time and money into this hobby and it is my passion. |
