About Yourself: I had fish as a kid and always said I would get another tank as an adult. My husband finally purchased a 30 gallon for my birthday. That was 15 years ago. I have been hooked ever since. In the early days I kept a community tank and eventually decided that I loved the cichlids of South America. I kept dwarf cichlids for a few years and then moved to Angelfish. I have had some sort of Angelfish in my tank for the last 10 years.
Advice: Read, read, read. Grab every book, magazine internet article you can find on the fish and plants you are interested. There is a lot of misinformation out there but the more you read the quicker you will be able to decipher fact from fiction.
Fish Kept: 1 Pair of Black Angelfish 1 Pair of Blue veil angel fish School of Harlequin Rasboras Zebra loaches (not really sure how many) 1 siamensis
Plants Kept: Hygro deformis Cryptocoryne balanse Vallisneria asiatica Java Moss Java Ferns Tiger Lotus
Tank Size: 75
Description: My tank looks absolutely nothing like this right now. It is still heavily planted but the rear left has a wall of vals and the rear right is covered with crypt balanse. I also have Java ferns and Java moss covering the driftwood and the 12 year old amazon sword finally died. I have a pair of black angelfish and a pair of blue veil angelfish, 4, 5 or 7 zebra loaches and a school of harlequin rasboras.
