This is my dream....a large tank directly behing my couch....fish swimmig all around my head. I started with a few small tanks but always pictured this one. I work & live in Toronto downtown core. I watch my fish for at least 30 min a night to keep me sane!! |

Started with a ten gallon and now I have a 150 Gal. Now I want a pond. I want to build my own tank so I can set it up the way I want. Half land and half water. |
| Advice: |
Go slow unless you know what you are doing. It can get expensive if you try to rush. Get your sand (silico) at a hardware store like Menards, not Petsmart or Petco. Get rocks from creeks or rivers if you can. Save your money for filters and fish food, not flakes. |

2 Oscars in a 150 Gal tank, Gauramies, Kissers, Tetras, Frogs, Albino Cory Catfish, Upside Down Catfish, Pleco, OTOS, snails, - in 55 Gal pictured tank and GSP's in a 40 long Gal. |

I got in to this hobby from my old friend to see who had 3 tanks and I loved what he had. I am a Boilermaker from Local 169. I am also looking forward to getting a 150 gallon with Discus as soon as I buy my house. |

I find that when setting up my tank to let it cycle. Its easier when you drop a dozen gold fish in the tank for a week then remove them. The tank will be cycled then you can start adding you desired fish.

When we went out to dinner one evening, I had mentioned that me and my boyfriend were looking to get a good sized tank and so he mentioned his.
