It's hard to see the fish, the ornament hiding behind the bush, the rock in the center of the tank, and the bush hiding behind the house trying to get bigger but they're there. I'm trying to find the perfect plant to put next the house to mimic a bush or tree but still haven't found one I want.

About Yourself: I know I have a lot of fish in my 20 gallon tank and I don't need any lectures about it. I just got a 55 gallon tank to transfer my Bala Shark, Zig Zag Eel, Veiled Angel Fish, and eventually the Plecostomus Punctatus and pimelodus pictus. In about two weeks I will have two really awesome fish tanks and I can't wait.
Advice: Make sure to have sufficient hiding spots and healthy, live plants in your tank.
Fish Kept: Veiled Angel Fish, 2 Balloon Mollies (One male, One female), Bala Shark, Dwarf Gourami, Clown Loach, 4 African Dwarf Frogs, Zig Zag Eel, 2 zebra danio, pimelodus pictus, and Plecostomus Punctatus

About Yourself: I had a fish tank when I was a wee child but left the heater on overnight and killed all my fish. I was devastated. My hubby and I after raising our daughter decided to adopt two older siblings. To help teach them about responsibility my son got a betta to care for (and my daughter a parakeet). I fell in love with this hobby!! A neighbor was moving and had a 55 gal with stand and all equipment and wanted to give it away. No one else wanted it so I thought sure I'll try it with a big tank! We all LOVE it! It is so peaceful to come home to or when one is not feeling well to just sit and watch the fish. I work as a medical social worker for oncology which can be emotionally draining and so I really enjoy the calmness of the tank. We have also really enjoyed raising fry when we can. The on swordfish I have in my 55 is one of our babies. They didn't usually live in tank as my angel (who has passed on) used to eat them and I think the gourami did too. The kribs are awesome parents and have been fun to watch them protect the fry even with the divider in the tank!
Advice: Research, research and research some more as I have know way too many people who mix the wrong fish together or don't cycle their tanks and wonder why all their fish died...
Fish Kept: In my 15 tall at work, I have 2 dwarf gouramis, 8 neon tetras and 1 betta. In my 55 I have 1 platy, 1 female swordfish, 1 surviving neon tetra (he's like a Duracell battery), 1 tin foil barb, 1 brachardi, 1 panda cory, 1 juhililli (sp?) cory, 1 upside down catfish, 1 gold gourami, 1 guppy (who arrived with another fish), and two kribs with fry. I have a divider in my tank to separate kribs as they had everyone else in one corner of the tank LOL! I have no fish in my 90 yet as it is a project which I was turned on to looking at your site one day and the African cichlid tanks were #1, and #4. Cool fish! I
Plants Kept: All plastic plants, did have a real plant that kept getting in my filter system and generally made a mess. Next I will get a broadleaf plant!
Tank Size: 55
Description: I have 3 community tanks, a 15 tall at work, a 55 long in my living room and a 90 in my office which is currently emply but working on setting up as an African cichlid tank, Lake Malawi & Victoria. I have had my 55 the longest (3 years) and am swiitching it over eventually to a semi-aggressive community once all my fish pass on so probably be a while yet. I use a Rena XP2, a Stealth heater, 3 airstones, and I use the Seachem ammonia, and PH in tank indicators.

About Yourself: His oringinal owner moved from the east coast and came to Cali to go to school. He was in chiropractic school ( spine in the tank)when he decided to get a tank and the easiest little pets he could find. He went to PetSmart and found Otis as a tiny red devil. Original owner finishes school, graduates and deided to go abroad. What to do with the fish? Which Otis is the only survivor. He asked me if I could take Otis. I jumped at the deal, cause he's super cool! He's now over 12 inches and is the best looking Red Devil I've ever seen. He swims backwards lets my boyfriend pet him and when I wear my tourquise bathrobe and walk by his tank it's on! He follows me back and forth like crazy and sometimes splashes water in buckets out of the tank. I just bought him a 88 gallon tank today! I'll update once I get him moved in his new home.
Advice: get to know your fish
