This tank has been filled using hand crafted pieces of pottery which are hollow and provide ample hiding places for the occupants.

The lighting is achieved using seventeen super bright white L.E.D.'s mounted into a custom lid.

The tataouine-esque feel to the tank has led to the introduction of several star wars characters. An interesting concept, the fish seem to love chewbacca!

About Yourself: If you have any questions or suggestions please feel free to email me at mrwiked28@sbcglobal.net. I have been keeping fish and turtles for many years, I have two turtles who live in 75 gallon tank everything is custom, I even designed and built the filter for it, do not have to do water changes for at least 6 months and only do so to clean algae, other than that the water is crystal clear at all times, and I have two (one very large) very happy turtles.
Advice: Just keep trying it will all work out

Quote: When I was 18 I thought my dad was the dumbest S.O.B. alive. Over the last 23 years I am amazed at how smart he has gotten.
About Yourself: This is my first African Tank. Kept some Oscars and Severums back in the day(1991-93), but I was moving all the time, and left my tank with an apartment mgr. so I didnt have to move it again. Been pretty lucky with this tank, as I have not lost any fish yet.(Except for the three Leopard Danios that were in there to start the cycling). I think the female Johanni got them. Hope you guys like my setup, I am always open to new ideas, so if anyone has a suggestion, let me hear it. I am considering a cannister filter in the future, but I think what I have now will suffice. Maybe some better lighting as well.
Advice: Don't ask me I'm guessing! And if you are impatient like I am, one word: AMQUEL
