Fish Kept: Labidochromis caeruleus (Electric yellow lab), Melanochromis auratus, Maylandia lombardoi, Pseudotropheus acei Msuli, Pseudotropheus acei "ngara", OB zebra marmalade, Pseudotropheus saulosi, Cyphotilapia Frontosa, Aulonocara Red Rubin, Melanochromis Johanni.

Advice: TAKE YOUR TIME & HAVE FUN YOU CAN NEVER OVER FILTER . THE MORE THE BETTER. WEEKLY WATER CHANGES ARE KEY ALSO. DON'T GET STUCK ON ONE TYPE OF FOOD. FEED THEM DIFFERENT VARIETIES OF FOODS.(pellets, flakes, krill, bloodworms, guppies. ghost shrimp)
Fish Kept: african cichlids to many to name plus a crab to keep the gravel clean and white but i havent seen him in a while. i think he's food now.
Plants Kept: fake plants- they kept digging up the grass so i took it out. i was tired of seing it floating in the tank.

Advice: Find a good aquarium shop in your area, read, and ask lots of questions. Also, watch your fish closely. I lost an entire tank of fish to Ich.
Fish Kept: The fish include two Pink Gouramis, a male and female Boesemani Rainbow, a male and female Praecox Rainbow fish, two Bala Sharks, two Creamcicle Mollies, and one Red Tail shark.
Plants Kept: My plants are all plastic.

About Yourself: I had a South American Cichlid tank in college prior to the emergence of the internet and thereby readily available information. I had no idea what I was doing and it went badly. Since then I have always wanted to do another tank, but this time I had a clue about what I was doing.
Advice: Read, Read, Read - Cycle, Cycle, Cycle Once your tank is set up chill out with the beverage of your choice and feel your blood pressure lower as you enjoy your tank (great for ignoring commercials as well).
Fish Kept: Demasoni, Yellow Labs, Cobalt Blues, Dwarf Afra (waiting to see if they mix with the Demasoni OK) I am finding out its the Demasoni that don't mix well with the Demasoni, I started with too few of them I think.
Plants Kept: Plastic Plants (Mbuna safe) 250+ lbs. of Rock

I added 2 filters, a heater, mason's sand, lots of river rock (found locally and boiled, a few plastic plants which don't look as bad as I thought they might. 12 fish later and yahtzee, I have a mbuna aquarium.
