Juvenile Red Lionfish |
| Advice: |
Although my tank is very small for a marine aquaria, vigilance about water condition is vital. I recommend getting a larger tank for beginners, as the temptation to purchase more fish is difficult to resist. LEARN about the fish you get, their compatibility |

I swear these guys have personality |
| Advice: |
I started out with an aqua one marisys complete filter but outgrew this too quickly to justify spending the money on it. skimmer was a filter stone model (not good enough). setup a new system which was half the price and is heaps more effective at removing waste.
overflow water goes directly to external skimmer (venturi) which then overflows into a plastic kitchen garbage bin (sump,)with a bag of seachem phosguard and the return pump. thats it.
good thing about phosguard is it can be reused until it turns yellow, its just an extra safe guard agaisnt phosphate. mine lasts for over six months |
