| Advice: |
Plan and read. I wouldn't buy anything until your sure about the size of everything you want and the equipment needed to maintain your tank. You can usually figure about $30 - $35 a gal for a tank that is fully set up with livestock. Make sure to support your Local Fish Store, and check the internet to see if there is a good local reef community or forum board. My local board is: www.sdreefs.com
If you wish to see the progression of this tank copy & paste this link:

| About Yourself: |
My husband and I have just started with saltwater this last January. So far, we have had nothing less then a fantastic experience with the saltwater tank (knock on wood). I'm sure we are in for a blow at some point, but so far, so good. We have had freshwater tanks for sometime. We have a soft spot for fancy goldfish, though right now we do not have any. We do have 2 Betta's (housed seperately), 3 cichlids in their own tank and another tank with 2 zebra's, a long finned danio, 4 glow light tetras and 5 neons.
My husband is an electrician. I used to be a truck driver, but left the industry when I found I needed to stay home with my son while he was in school. |

| About Yourself: |
My name is Dario and I've been doing this for like 9 years, I originally started with a 25 gal salt water and a 60 gallon freshwater but ended up with only a 60 gallon saltwater tank. I learn as I go and I ask alot of questions. I learn from my mistakes. We also have a 25 gallon freshwater tank. |
| Advice: |
Pay close attention. If u don't have time to take care of your tank don't start! It requires ALOT of attention. well atleast that's my opinion. |

| About Yourself: |
Cleaner Shrimp Video
I got into the hobby by a close friend. Basically he bought me my first fish. A betta, red, blue and black. After that i got into south american ciclids, Jack dempsey, oscar and others. soon graduated to brackish fish, needle nose gar, datnoid, puffers, scats, bichirs (not brackish, but adaptable)knife fish. Then i got a job at the local pet store. I learned the basics to salt water and gradually increased to a preportional size. Now i have a couple of years behind my belt in aquatics, Salt and fresh. But there is so much knowledge to be had and developed, i will never stop learning. I love to encourage and give advice to new reefers I have a small buisiness setting up and servicing reef tanks and love to problem solve.
My new website is up but still under construction.

Research, research, research. Once you've done that, go back and do some more. Exercise patience in everything you do with your tank. Stock slowly |
