Corals/Plants Kept: Approx 130 Kgs or 285 pounds of LR. Number 2 grain white crushed coral substrate, and a tennis ball size air stone. Corals Numerous Amounts Of Toadstools, Anemone, Morphs, Gonipora's, Torches, Hammers, Flowers, Daisys.

Description: Tank size * 5ft x 2ft x 2ft, Sump 5ft x 18" x 21" Octopus HOB skimmer which is now in sump,1 Ehiem 2500 ltr p/h External Canister Filter, 4 - Metal Halides - 150 watt each with 20000k Bulbs, 2 Ehiem 800 ltr p/h internal Power Heads, Fluro T5 bar with Blue Actinic Grow Lights, 2 x 300 watt heaters (one just incase) 1 return pump from sump pumping at a rate of 7500 ltrs p/h. Halides running for 8 hours with the actinics running 1 1/2 hours either side of that. Also middle section of sump is a refugium, with 2 bar fluros for lighting on the oppisite hours to main tank. Caluprea growing in tank for nitrate reduction purposes.

Advice: Go slow. Do frequent water changes. Clean skimmer often. Don't use bioballs (nitrates). Don't use crushed coral (nitrates) Do use macro algae in the refugium. Gac. Lots of indirect water movement. Jump on crisis' as soon as possible (aiptasia,hair algae,slime,hydroids,etc). Drip Kalk. The basics.

About Yourself: I went to Maui scuba diving in the reef... I was hooked! I always had tanks as a kid so it was only natural to end up with a giant reef of my own...I love it! I have had it going for four years now, so I say its not going anyware!! Its a lot of upkeep, but so am I, so no problems for me here!! lol... I enjoy it more than watching tv!! theres always drama happening in that little world they live in too...its like the discovery channel live.
Advice: If it looks good...DONT touch it. do regular water changes! always use ro/di
Fish Kept: 3 blue chromis 1 sailfin tang 1blue tang 1 niger trigger, sand sifting guy, and a purple yellow"jerk"!
Corals/Plants Kept: Toad stool star polyps open brain red plate brown purple rim plate clams acros millie trumpet coral green ricordias colt coral blue and brown stag im sure more, I see things growing in it all the time I never purchased...creeping out of the live rock..mystery polyps and sponges and the colt coral.. its all over and I never bought it.. I sure have to trim it all the time. but its pretty so whatever...

Description: 75 gal with a huge sump and a huge skimmer (I downsized from a 190 gal but I kept the sump and skimmer... the bigger the better!) I have two 175 w hallide lights and a computer to tell me if the ph is to high or to low and to turn on the calc reactor... Advice: You can never have too much live rock, get the biggest pump your sump/drain can handle, and remember head height when choosing a pump. A 900 gallon per hour pump may only do 700 at 4 ft.
