About Yourself: Nurse. Fish are rewarding patients.
Advice: Read a book on fish keeping before you buy anything. Treat your fish as you would your dog or cat. Be careful of paying a lot for objects that peel or go off colour very quickly...Rather go natural with live plants.

live plants
real rock
angel fish (this one grew from minute to this size in 2 months - I am very proud of baby, name is michael. Michael is very possessive of me, his provider, and when I sit next to the tank on a bean bag to read or watch TV he stays quite still next to me the whole time I am there. The only time he moves is to chase other fish away. It is very cute, I think he loves me...

This is our first attempt, we'll be adding more fish and plants as the tank gets established, it's less than two months old.

About Yourself: I LOVE FISH!
Advice: READ and TAKE IT VERY SLOWLY
Fish Kept: 3 Upside Down Catfish, 5 Plattys (and tons of fry), 3 Glowfish, 1 Pleco. More to come as the tank gets more established.
Plants Kept: Random plants, mostly real. We'll be changing to all real over the next few months as the tank supports it.
Tank Size: 75
Description: 75 Gallon Flat tank. We're growing tropical fish and plants. This is my first planted tank, and I'm going for a breeding community (I know it's tricky, but if it works I'll be going for saltwater next). I'm using one reef tank (to help the plants) and one regular tropical tank light; both are florescent. I'm using one Magnum 350 H.O.T. Filter with two biowheels, and three air pumps to power a large undergravel filter system.

My tank needs a lot of work but, it's all live plants all the time, but I need a better light and a better under-gravel filtration system. With the glass on the top, my 'fish-duties' incurred in one week are 14 feeds and 1.5 gallons of water, turn the light off at night and turn it on in the morning. hahaha. They are quite a group, busy and a little feisty. Next image will be a lot better.

About Yourself: Map & image analyst, SMAWM, with a astronomy fixation.
