Description: My tank is 5' x 18" x 26'. I'm running an Eheim 2260 canister filter with a Just added a Hydor Koralia 4 (1200GPH), one of the best investments I've put into my tank. I use an Emeim in line surface skimmer with a secondary intake for pulling the water out at one end and exhaust at the other end of the tank (making sure all the water gets cycled). I'm lighting it with 2 - 4' Power Glow fluorescent bulbs (I had 4 in my 55 gal, but without plants 2 do just fine). I have two heaters (one at either end for more even heat and as a back-up, just in case). I have 250 lbs + of Texas Lace Rock sitting on a crushed coral base. The tank rests on a custom made 1/4' angle iron stand, I used old barn board for doors.

So take your time and you will eventually get your tank to look the way you want. Like the old saying goes, "Slow and steady wins the race". Dont buy a great dane if you have an apartment... same concept, dont start the tank if you dont have the time and money needed Take everyones advise lightly. Everyones advice will vary greatly. Only you can decide what is best for your situation. Weigh things out and then go for it. Make sure you understand everything before you just dive in blindly.

About Yourself: I started off with a 29 gallon about 8 years ago, and over the years, I ended up with 7 tanks. I had a 55 gallon saltwater and a 20 gallon with 4 sea horses. I had the pleasure of watching one of my male sea horses give birth, and it was amazing !!! As of today, I am down to a 125 gallon and a 44 gallon corner pentagon freshwater tank. I just love this hobby !!!!

Advice: Do not add all these fish all at once. Add them slowly.

Description: I switched to a aquaclear 110 power filter because of the amount of fish that I have in my tank. I have a tall 44 gallon corner pentagon tank, and this filter gives this tank a lot of filtration and water flow. I also have a hydor koralia circulation pump that I placed in the middle of my tank to add more water movement. I use the titaniumtube heater by ViaAqua and it keeps my water temperature stable. For lighting, I use a 15W Aqua-Glo T-8. This light brings out the color in the fish, plants, gravel, and decorations.

Advice: I've done Salt and Fresh. I'm back to Freshwater now. Take your time. I do a 25% water change every week with vacuuming. Water is always crystal clear and chemically perfect.
