Fish Kept: Melanochromis auratus- Adult male and a very large female. Also I have 18 mixed African Juviniles and a pelco.

Plants Kept: None.

Description: This is my 55g freshwater tank, Im using a Cascade 700 canister filter and a 300w heater keeping the water at 82 F. Rocks are limestone with some sandstone. Substate is natural river rock from Wal-mart.

About Yourself: When I was a kid I always had beta fish tanks. I bought my first 10 gallon freshwater tank when I was 18, then bought a 20 gallon about two years later. Recently I was given a 75 gallon and passed on the 20 gallon to my son. I often find myself transfixed upon the aquariums, they are a very useful destressor!

Advice: Don't let your husbands buy red-bellied pacus!

Fish Kept: 5 cichlids, 3 bala sharks, 2 plecos, 1 danio (survivor!), 1 pacu, and 1 gourami.

Advice: Anything you can find out helps. Try to find a mom pop type fish store that has been around for awhile that can be very helpful.

Fish Kept: In the 55 we have 2-Blue Cobalts, 1-male Blue Johanni, 2-Pseudotropheus Elongatus, 1-male Borleyi, 3-Red Zebras, 2-Yellow Labids, 1 male Copadichromis Azureus 2 male Peacocks 1-male Damasoni, 1-gold with black stripes. In the ten 3-Fancy Guppies 2-Black Mollies and 2-Zebra Danios

Plants Kept: 3 fake plants, 30 lbs. of flagstone, 25lbs. of lava rock, 1 fake tufa stone, 2 PVC tunnels under the gravel.
