so i guess it was a false alarm cuz i left my house and when i came back he was bigger and a few hours later he was back to his normal size moving about and a few hours after that one of my true purculas started to swim in and out of him it looks like he might have been dispelling waste or at least that what one of my FO guys told me

even so, keep an eye on him make sure he is fed properly and has enough water flow in his direction. they feed off filters.
