my picks might not be the best but the rock in my tank is fiji premium...........i had a lot of die off as you can see but it's coming back nicely after the cycle - -remember my pics don't do it justice, theres a lot more color than showed up
nope.................perfect if you can fit it in there...........make sure you get the base rock on the glass at the bottom so it doesn't shift and come tumbling down.
I started out with a 12 gallon almost a year ago and put 25lbs of live rock in it and cycled it for 3 months before I added any livestock. I haven't had any casualties yet, but I only have a perc clown, cleaner shrimp, 6 hermits, and a few snails. I recently purchased an established 100 gallon system with 125lbs of live rock and 100lbs of live sand with all of it's inhabitants. I have had no problems since I also transported 70 gallons of it's original water. The live rock is a life saver and my water is perfect in both tanks. Just make sure you cycle the system because some of the living organisms will die and cause a spike in nitrites for a few weeks. The more time you cycle it the less casualties you'll probably have. Good luck
