are two, 24inch, 130watt power compact light fixtures enough for my standard 55 gal? i want to keep softies, the caulerpa that i already have in my 10, and maybe a few LPS corals. enough light?? oo and i would like a carpet or saddle anemone? is this possible with this light setup?
well christ it's about time bud...................check my rock out i my pro...i think im about 2 weeks away from buying my very frst coral...what do think? i dont want mushrooms...i like the looks of polips....not those crazy aussie things you showed me though ......lol
they are nice....charge em... they should do great bud and back at ya its about time..i have ben hidding money from my girl for my new tank...hahah..she is going to kill me..
the two 24 inch power compacts would be good for softies, aite.. wat if i were to have those two lights, and then put a 48inch strip light on, which is another 130watts, would that be a better setup for the LPS? possible SPS? total that would be 390 watts for the 55.
500????? thats a cheap one....the blue one i want is 1600 >>>>AAAHHHHH
momma said "WTF are you smokin?" hahahahaha
390 watts is ok........but im thinking 10 watts per gallon in a 55 would be better...you have to figure your depth as well the 390 watts with tall rock structures would be more than enough...if your rock is shallow....then your penetrateing more water....................see what im saying?
Note: i don't keep corals yet...so any advice i give is what ive read and heard from others....so please check anything i say........Boss
it depends on what lps you want. some like shady areas and some like a ton of light.and you could try some acro with 7 watts a gallon.but i dont think you could keep realy bright colors bright they might fade or bleach after a while.do your homework on the corals you want to keep..
