Hey as promised here are the links to the newer discus pics that i took earlier this morning, if you see some food floating around don't judge too harshly as it takes feeding for them to all come upfront, they are generally very shy and like to hide when i come to the tank.

the last one the pic quality is not the best however, i posted it so you can see the actual size diff between the immature red turquoise and the mature blue diamond

thank you all for the kind words, i really enjoy the discus, and my tank is thinning out of other breeds of fish, the angel that is in the one pic is now residing upstairs with my friends in their 29 tall, with another angel, they are getting along great as the other angel is about 2 inches bigger, LOL the angel i noticed this afternoon acting extremely aggressive towards the smaller discus and he even sized up and took a poke at the huge blue diamond, so i said that's that. a 5 dollar fish vs a 100 dollar fish, the choice was easy enough to make, with him out of the tank the other discus seem to be more mobile and moving around the tank more freely compared to before when they would all hide until feeding time, i am thinking that the angel was the culprit in this situation, it's all a learning curve trying to find fish that are completely compatible is a chore sometimes but eh it's always worth the try, i still have one fruit tetra, a few danio, a school of 20 neons, all of my cory cats, and algae eaters, the three balloon belly platty, and two panda tetra and of course the puffers and snails and fw flounder, i am gonna get a few more puffers just to help keep snail population at a manageable lvl as my mystery snails are non stop with the breeding action. oh and the ram is still here too. i figure once things get to where i want them and i may add two more discus, i am thinking a yellow diamond, and a red dragon skin discus, those i will special order but they wont be introduced until around july as i want to see how big the rest of these guys are going to get before adding two more that will get extremely large.

LOL sb they are slightly aggressive however they are so small that them being aggressive to anything in the tank is moot, they spend most of their time chasing the mystery snails around the tank waiting for them to lay eggs, not only that every week i ad 30 ram horn snails for them to eat, so they don't bother the other fish, they did however eat one of the neons that was sickly due to the ph issue, lol one fish i didn't have to flush.....

to be honest the most aggressive fish i have in the tank right now is a lone diamond tetra and he sticks to himself unless provoked by the frute tetra, as for the mollies they breed but the babies make great snack food for the discus!!!!
