I have been lurking for a few days and decided to introduce myself.
I have been dabbling with small freshwaters tanks my whole life with some success. A few years ago I discovered the Eclipse system and have had the 12 gallon tank with some live plants and a few fish. Just the other day, I was offered (for free) a 55 gallon setup with stand and hood. I purchased the Penguin 350 as the filter, and transferred some of the live plants and driftwood from the 12 gal to get the cycle started.

Man, I wish I could get a free 55gallon. Good find tanks don't come cheap!
--Oh yeah Boss, 10 gallon tanks at wally world are $9.48 or something like that. No hood or anything just the glass tank.
welcome to the site!!! you will find a lot of useless... i mean useful information here LOL, just kidding guys, this place has deff caused me to spend lots of money, never thought of doing a completely live plant setup until i started rating some of the pics. you will find that we are all a pretty good bunch of ppl, and we are always open to criticism, and compliments, and we wont be shy about advising you on how to spend you entire paycheck....
