Some PH's have increaced flow when the venturi is on and some have a decreaced flow. I have both kinds.
I'll try the kind that has decreaced flow when I get the time. I have it kind of stable and working right now with the USD tank half full. I have some work to do soon and it might have to wait till tomorrow.
I don't bother with mail order stuff Snowboss. I saw some thresded brass rod at the hardware store so I may get some tomorrow. Thanks for the link though.

the scetches I wanted to send you were of a large venturi system {well large for a fish tank, lol}
if you take a PH without a venturi on it run it into a hose or pvc pipe say an inch long then glue on a "Y" pipe {like a sewer clean out} with the Y making an arrow in the out direction now glue a 5-6 inch piece of hose or pvc striaght out and run pvc or hose out of the Y up into the USDT ....this should create a large vaccum and when the air is sucked out it just becomes a circulation pump..............i would think this should all be in about 3/8ths pipe or hose ...which should way outperform the 1/8 th inch ID of a powerhead venturi...no???
MMMM. How about taking a piece of PVC and create a constriction by slipping in and gluing a smaller diameter beveled edge tube. Then drill into the PVC at a right angle just past the constriction point and put the venturi tube in there. To create suction you need a constriction point and then a wider point after the constriction. Right?
i believe your onto something there .........a 3/8 by 3/4 pvc bushing glued into a 3/4 pvc pipe......with a 3/8 nipple inside, power head on the outside and run the air line into it like you stated above...........BAM, instant upside down tank suctionizer , lol ...................Boss
Cool. I'll peruse the hardware store and see what they have. Maybe there is some parts that may work better than others. I have a drill and a vise so fabricating this probably will be pretty easy. Thanks for the intrest. I'll probably go tomorow and I'll let ya know how it goes.
