My two bigger cichlids have been picking on my eel I got earlier this week. So I went to home depot and got some ABS Tube about an inch in diameter and 2 feet long and cut 3 different sections different lengths smoothed the edges and placed them down in the tank. I seen somewhere where these eels like hiding in places like those tubes. Is there a way to speed the process of making my eel start to use the tubes? Apparently it haven't been smart enough to use the tubes.

if you're talking about the dragon goby, i would probably take him out... i've had tons of bad luck mixing these guys with cichlids... they do great in planted tanks, and other tropical comunity fish... but they don't defend themselves... especially since i think they are noctornal...

bichirs should do fine in there...

What I have is a BICHIR, and I hope it doesn't turn out anything like that first picture. I saw those ugly dragon gobys at walmart and just had to look the other way

hahaha... the dragon gobies are ugly looking... but they are awesome and gentle creatures...

well... as for the bichir... i would find out what species it is... some get really large and will need a 100g tank... and will feed on live fish... most likely it's a senegral bichir... those don't grow as fast...

i like ornate or cenorall... i don't think cenorall are in the market yet...
