if i have live rock do i need bio balls in my sump?

You can take them out, you have enough beneficial bacterias because of your live rocks, and substrate. You can put your heater there, or maybe some extra filter pads, it's up to you. Be lucky!

yea, definitly chuck the bio-balls, they are garbage for marine aquariums, placing liverock in the sump is 10 times more effective/benificial
