I recently got a comment that my tank looks dirty I clean it all the time but I was told not to disturb the substrate any suggestions on how to remove the debris that builds from snail hermits etc other than the obvious any help would be appreciated

if you are refering to the detritus on the sand bed,you can lightly siphon it out when you do your water change.
